(KAIR)--The Fifth Annual Soggy Doggy Day is set to take place Saturday afternoon from 1:00-4:00 at the Atchison Lion's Pool.
Dog owners are invited to bring their canine friends to the pool for a chance to take a swim and cool off before the pool closes for the year.
Event coordinator Deb Clem says last year's event drew over 130 dogs, while people from as far away as Lenexa attended. As with past years, there will be multiple contests held, with a wide range of prizes available for winning.
The event is free, but donations are encouraged, with all money received going to the Atchison Animal Shelter.
Clem says that in the event of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for the next day.
