(KMZA)--A Marshall County man has been arrested for allegedly shooting at a moving van and the battery of a 68-year-old man.
32-year-old Travis Metcalf, of rural Winifred, is facing charges of aggravated assault and aggravated battery following the incident late Tuesday afternoon.
Marshall County Sheriff Dan Hargrove says Allen Hadorn of rural Beattie was driving on 19th Terrace, southeast of Winifred, when his van was stopped by a pickup driven by Metcalf who lived nearby.
Hargrove says the two men became involved in an argument and Hadorn was struck on the head. When he tried driving away, Hargrove says Metcalf allegedly fired four rounds from a handgun into the rear driver’s side of the van.
Following an overnight search, Metcalf was taken into custody Wednesday and booked into the Marshall County Jail.
Hargrove told the Marysville Advocate that the two men didn’t know each other prior to the incident.
