(KAIR)--An 18-year-old Manhattan man is in legal trouble, facing charges of electronic solicitation of a child and unlawful voluntary sexual relations.
Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson says Daylen Vessar was arrested Thursday following a brief investigation. “We have had an investigation ongoing this week, focused on a 15-year-old female victim,” Wilson tells MSC News. “It involves unlawful contact, both electronically and physically.”
According to Wilson, Vessar is originally from Atchison, where he met the girl over a year ago.
Wilson says it's alleged the crimes that led to Vessar's arrest happened late last month.
Following his apprehension, Vessar was booked into the Atchison County Jail where he remains, held on bond of $75,000.
