(KAIR)--Details remain sketchy following a Monday afternoon roofing accident that required helicopter transport for medical treatment for the victim.
According to Atchison Fire Department Captain Lee Kipple, Atchison resident Sam Pierce was working on the roof of a home, in the 900 block of North Ninth Street, shortly before 2:30.
For reasons not immediately clarified, Pierce fell from the roof, sustaining unknown injuries.
He was transported to the Atchison Hospital but flown for further treatment.
The extent of his injuries are not yet made public.
