(KAIR)--The Atchison Hospital is gearing up for it's annual Best Care Community Health Fair, set to take place this weekend at the Atchison Elementary School.
Over fifty-five booths will be available to provide services such as blood pressure and hearing checks, EKG testing, and even an artery scan. Health Fair Committee member Jenifer Brockhoff adds that there will be cholesterol testing available for a $15, which she says is a lot cheaper than paying an insurance co pay to have the same test done.
Health Fair Coordinator T.C. Roberts says a bicycle rodeo will also be a part of the event, and participants are eligible to receive a free bicycle helmet. About 150 helmets are available, and they want to make sure that every child who qualifies for a helmet gets one.
The hospital is also partnering with the Atchison County Sheriff's Department and Atchison County EMS for a car seat safety check, with free car seats and booster seats available to anyone who qualifies for one.
The Best Care Community Health Fair is set to take place this Saturday morning from 8:00 to noon. Everyone is invited to attend.
