Next Step Taken On Richardson County Jail Project
10/15/2014

(KLZA)-- Richardson County Commissioners Tuesday met as a Board of Equalization to finalize the 2014 tax year levies for the political subdivisions in Richardson County.  All were approved as presented.

An agreement was approved with Thompson, Dreesen and Dorner Inc. to perform geotechnical services for the new law enforcement center to be located at the armory site just west of Falls City.  The fee for the work will be $1,700.

No action was taken on a resolution to appoint Emergency Management Agency Director Brian Dixon as Radio Communications Coordinator for Richardson County owned and maintained radio systems.  A resolution is being drafted for consideration at a future meeting.

Commissioners also met with Dixon in executive session to discuss personnel matters.  The closed meeting lasted 17 minutes.

The weekly meeting of Commissioners lasted just over an hour-and-a-half.
