Rock Port Woman Injured in Collision
10/16/2014

(KTNC)--A northwest Missouri woman was injured when a pick-up collided with the pick-up she was driving near Rock Port Wednesday evening.

The Missouri State Patrol reports the accident happened at 5:50 Thursday evening on U.S. Highway 136, a half mile east of U.S. Highway 275.

The State Patrol says 75-year-old Janet Lininger of Rock Port was driving east in a 2011 Chevy pickup, when a westbound pickup driven by 24-year-old Randy Wedel of Rock Port attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot and didn't yield to Lininger's vehicle.

Wedel's pickup struck the left front of Lininger's pickup, which went off the road and struck a road sign before coming to rest.

Lininger was transported by ambulance to the Fairfax Community Hospital with serious injuries. Wedel was not injured.
