(KNZA)--The Brown County Commission has renewed it’s employee health insurance plan with Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 2015.
The commission took the action Monday on the recommended of the county’s health insurance broker, John Matolone.
Matolone says the plan calls for a 21 percent premium increase, which is still three percent lower than what the county paid in 2013.
The plan is the same as what employees currently have, and will renew on January 1st, 2015.
The commission also voted to go with Delta Dental for dental coverage for employees for 2015, if the bid comes in at less than an 8 percent increase.
And the commission voted to stay with Principal Financial Group for life insurance coverage for employees for 2015.
