Hiawatha Teen Charged After October Standoff
11/08/2014

(KNZA)--A Hiawatha teen has been charged following a standoff late last month.

Brown County Attorney Kevin Hill says 17-year-old Braiden Guido
has been charged with felony interference with law enforcement.  During a hearing this week, Hill says Guido was ordered to remain in juvenile detention at the Northeast Kansas Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Junction City.

Guido was arrested October 27th after authorities executed a search warrant on his home in the 300 block of North 8th Street and found him hiding in the attic.  Hill says Guido was arrested on outstanding warrants at the time.

Authorities say he ran when the vehicle he was in was stopped October 26th in Hiawatha after it was reported driving recklessly and having been involved in a shooting in Fairview that caused no reported injuries.

Four other suspects also face charges in the case.
