(KLZA)-- An open house was held at the new USDA Service Center in Falls City last week. The former church at 502 East 14th Street has been remodeled. Richardson County USDA Executive Director Shawna Mitchell said the space is slightly smaller so some downsizing was necessary.
The new facility is home to the NRCS, Farm Service Agency and the Natural Resource Conservation Services, all the same agencies as were previously located on the north edge of Falls City.
The front door is on the west side of the building with a parking lot on the north side of the building. The alley to the east side of the building was paved so it could be used as a driveway.
The USDA rents the facility from a company that purchased the former church and remodeled the building to house the USDA Service Center. The new office space opened November 1.
