KS Police Official May Not Get Marshal Job
12/26/2014

(MSC News)--Topeka's former Police Chief may not be getting the Federal job he left his previous post for.
Ron Miller stepped down from leading the Topeka Police Department in July after being nominated by President Obama to be Kansas' next US Marshal.
But according to the Library of Congress, Miller's nomination was returned to the President on December 17th due to a clause in Senate rules.
That clause states that if no action was taken 30 days after the Senate adjourns or recesses, the nomination goes back to the President's desk.
Miller served as Topeka's Chief of Police for eight years.
