(KAIR)--A continuance has been granted in the case of one of two Atchison women accused of stealing checks.
24-year-old Cinnamon Cash appeared in Atchison County District Court Monday afternoon, and Judge Martin Asher set a new court date of January 12th, following a request made by her attorney.
Cash was arrested in late November after a police investigation showed that she and 18-year- old Rachel Sutton were allegedly involved in the theft of several personal checks from a residence located in the 1100 block of Kansas Avenue. Three checks had been cashed at a local convenience store earlier that month for amounts less than $100 each.
Cash remains free on a $10,000 bond.
