Sheriff Tim Morse says 51-year-old Cory Huff is being held in the Jackson County Jail on two counts of intentional second degree attempted murder.
Morse said the sheriff’s office responded to a report of a man firing a firearm from a moving vehicle at motorists north of the intersection of 94th Street and U.S. Highway 75.
Huff was taken into custody shortly before 7:30 in northern Shawnee County. Morse says Huff is accused of firing shots at northbound motorists on Highway 75.
