(KNZA)--Two Powhattan men charged in connection with a suspected case of arson in Brown County made their first appearance in court Tuesday.
19-year-old Codey Wamsley and 22-year-old Dylan McGinnis are each charged with arson. In addition, Wamsley is charged with felony interference with law enforcement.
A preliminary hearing for both men was set for March 11th.
The pair is accused of setting fire to an old vacant granary on February 22nd in the area of 200th and Bittersweet Roads.
They were arrested last Friday following an investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.
McGinnis remains in the Brown County Jail on $25,000 bond, while Wamsley is currently free after posting $25,000 bond.
