(KAIR)--There is still time to register to vote in the upcoming April general election.
That, according to Atchison County Clerk Pauline Lee who adds that she expects registration numbers for this election to be low, as she has not seen a large number of registrations.
In order to be eligible to vote in the election, Atchison County residents must register no later than 5:00pm Tuesday, March 17th at the County Courthouse.
Anyone who is registering for the first time will need to furnish a birth certificate, passport, hospital record of birth, or a military record of service.
Lee adds that advance mail ballots will be mailed out on March 18th and are due back to her office no later than 7:00pm on election day. Advance voting will start on March 23rd, and will run until noon on April 6th.
The deadline is the same in all area northeast KS counties.
