(KMZA)--A tip has lead to the arrest of two in connection with the alleged illegal slaughter of a cow in Nemaha County.
The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office says 26-year-old Jason Rudin, of Oneida, and 25-year-old Jesse Wiltz, of Sabetha, were arrested Friday on charges of cruelty to animals, theft of property, criminal trespass and criminal damage to property.
The two are accused of killing and butchering a heifer belonging to Doug Metzger of rural Oneida late last month.
Rudin and Wiltz remain in the Nemaha County Jail.
