(KAIR)--A continuance has been granted in two cases involving an Atchison man facing several battery and theft related charges.
24-year-old Devan Landry appeared in Atchison County District Court Monday afternoon where his attorney requested the continuance so that a possible plea deal could be worked out.
A new hearing date was set for April 20th.
Landry was arrested on March 14th after allegedly taking part in an assault on a woman in Atchison. He is facing charges of aggravated battery, criminal restraint, and criminal damage to property in that case.
In the second case, he is facing charges of criminal damage to property, burglary, and theft from a vehicle related to alleged thefts that took place in 2011.
