(KAIR)--An Atchison man, accused of taking part in a residential burglary, has agreed to a plea deal in the case.
20-year-old Dalton Dyer appeared in Atchison County District Court Monday afternoon to plead guilty to one count of burglary of a dwelling. In exchange for the plea, one count of theft and one count of criminal damage to property was dropped.
Sentencing has been set for May 11th.
Dyer was arrested in February after an investigation by the Atchison Police Department showed that Dyer was involved in the 2014 burglary in which nearly $5,000 worth of items were taken from the home.
Dyer had been serving time in a state prison on unrelated charges during the investigation, but had just been released when he was arrested on the burglary charges.
