(KLZA)-- The Falls City, City Council has approved the re-appointment of Richard King to the Housing Authority as recommended by Mayor Jerry Oliver. King is a resident of Eastview in Falls City.
The Council approved a resolution for the use of Harlan Street which is Highway 73 through Falls City during the August 22nd Cobblestone Parade. A request to block off 17th Street between Harlan and Lane Streets for a June 26th fireworks display by First United Methodist Church was approved.
On a 6-2 vote the Council voted to give favorable comment for a special designated liquor license for a wedding reception at Prichard Auditorium October 3rd for Eric Froeschl of The Would Eye. Council members Judy Murphy and John Vaughn cast nay votes.
