(KMZA)--A bridge replacement project is underway in Marshall County, meaning minor delays for motorists traveling in the construction zone.

The work is focused on the U.S. 36 Bridge over Snipe Creek, just over 2 miles east of the K-99 junction.

Eastbound and westbound traffic is now reduced to one lane through the work zone. It will remain that way until the project is completed, likely by mid-December, if weather allows.

Traffic is being directed by signage, traffic signals and a concrete barrier.

Ebert Construction, of Wamego, is serving as the primary contractor on the $1.2 million bridge replacement project.
