(KLZA)-- One person was injured in a wreck Tuesday afternoon east of Falls City on Highway 159.
Richardson County Deputy Sheriff Jeff Frederick said shortly before 4 p-m Tuesday a 2011 Freightliner truck driven by 23-year old Sheridan Michael Hall of Falls City was westbound on 159, approximately a half-mile east of the Preston Corner. Hall said he was giving room to an eastbound truck and the tires on the Falls City Mercantile owned truck he was driving dropped off the road onto the shoulder. The tires caught and the truck overturned onto its passenger side and slid across the highway coming to rest on the south side of the highway.
48-year old Raphael Thompson of Falls City was a passenger in the truck and suffered bumps, bruises and cuts to his back, all of which were non-life threatening injuries. Thompson was transported to Community Medical Center in Falls City by the Falls City Volunteer Ambulance Squad. Hall refused treatment.
The truck was not loaded. R & W Tow & Recovery was called to tow the truck.
