(KNZA)--A November jury trial has been set for a Sabetha man accused of child sex crimes in Jackson County.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says 25-year-old Daniel Thompson pleaded “ not guilty" Thursday to two count of sexual exploitation of a child after waiving his preliminary hearing. A jury trial was set for November 17-19.
Thompson was arrested in May after the Jackson County Sheriff’s office served a search warrant on his residence following an investigation focused on child pornography and the exploitation of a 16-year-old Jackson County child.
Thompson remains in the Jackson County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
