(KNZA)--Two Hiawatha men charged in an Iowa murder have waived their preliminary hearings.
According to online court records, 41-year-old Jon Rubendall and 39-year-old James Bost are now set for arraignment in Adams County District Court on Monday, July 20th on charges of first-degree murder and robbery in the 1st degree.
The pair was arrested June 26th in Hiawatha for the death of 44-year-old Allen Pafford, of Nodaway, Iowa.
Authorities say Pafford was found June 20th with a bed sheet wrapped around his head and neck and gunshot wound to the back of his head. Prosecutors allege he was killed in retaliation for a $3,000 drug debt.
Both men remain in the Adams County Jail, held on one million dollars bond each.
