(KAIR)--The Sixth Annual Soggy Doggy Day is set to take place Saturday afternoon, August 16th from 1:00-4:00 at the Atchison Lion's Pool.
Dog owners are invited to bring their canine friends to the pool for a chance to take a swim and cool off before the pool closes for the year.
Event coordinator Deb Clem says that last year's event drew over 93 dogs, and people from as far away as Everest and Bendena attended. As with past years, there will be multiple contests held, with a wide range of prizes available for winning.
The event is free, but donations are encouraged, with all money received going to the Atchison Animal Shelter.
Clem says that in the event of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for August 23rd.
