(KAIR)--An Atchison business is planning to hold a fund raising event Thursday in an effort to support the Children's Miracle Network.
“Miracle Treat Day” will take place at Atchison's Dairy Queen Grill and Chill, and all proceeds from each Blizzard treat sold will be donated to the KU Medical Center. Now in it's tenth year, the event seeks to bring awareness and to raise funds for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in local communities. One in ten children in the country is treated at CMN hospitals each year.
Dairy Queen Spokesperson Robin Everhart says the company is passionate about raising the funds needed to help save and improve the lives of children treated at CMN hospitals, and this year's event will be memorable since it falls on Dairy Queen's 75th anniversary.
Over the past 31 years, Dairy Queen has raised more than $100 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in local communities through similar fund raising efforts.
