(KAIR)--An alleged Atchison battery lands a man in jail.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says it happened Friday afternoon and involved a 61-year-old victim.
Police were called to a residence in the 1500 Block of North Seventh Street, where the victim remained. The suspect, identfied as 26-year-old Jerome Bratton, had already left, but was located minutes later in the 700 block of L Street.
He was booked into the Atchison County Jail on charges of battery, disorderly conduct, and obstructing the legal process.
