(KNZA)--A hammer, believed to have been used in an attack that left one injured in Hiawatha last week, has been recovered.
Police Chief John Defore tells MSC News the hammer was recovered sometime over the weekend, but didn't immediately release the location where it was found, or who turned it into police.
The public was called on to help locate the tool which was allegedly used by 22-year-old Devin Hall to hit another person in the face last Wednesday evening.
The victim required treatment at the Hiawatha Community Hospital.
Hall remains in custody at the Brown County Jail where he was taken following his arrest for the alleged aggravated assault.
