(KLZA)-- Richardson County Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert reported to Commissioners this week that the Verdon Northwest project has been let out for bid by the Nebraska Department of Roads with bids to be opened September 3rd.
Ed Bredemeier met with Commissioners to express concerns about the condition of roads near his home, reporting he had requested rock be placed on the county line road earlier this year and that so far, none has been put there. Bredemeir also commented on what he classified as the unfavorable quality of work the motor grader operator in the area of his home is doing. Huppert said he would review the concerns.
2015-16 budget requests were reviewed for the Emergency Management Agency, County Attorney’s Office and the Veterans Service Office.
JoAnn Auxier and Richard Meinzer with the Richardson County Historical Society presented a request to the Board for continued funding from the County. Richardson County has contributed $10,000 each year to the organization in the past. The Board will consider the request when finalizing the budget.
Commissioners also approved a resolution to increase the amount of petty cash in the Richardson County Sheriff’s Department from $2,000 to $3,000.
