(KLZA)-- During the Monday night meeting of the HTRS School Board an updated was provided on the building addition at Humboldt. The work is on schedule and the addition should be occupied by the first of the year.
Monday night, the Board approved the purchase of equipment for the fitness center and weight room. The original idea for the project was spawned several years ago by the HTRS Booster Club to have an addition built to house a weight room and fitness center for the community. That idea grew into the three-story addition being constructed to add storage, classrooms and a new entryway.
The HTRS Booster Club is donating $80,000 to the school district to be used for the purchase of equipment for the fitness center and weight room.
