(KMZA)--A portion of K-99 Highway in the Marshall County community of Summerfield has reopened following a closure Tuesday necessary for a tube replacement project to be completed.
The Kansas Department of Transportation says traffic is again allowed on K-99, between Bethel Street and Erb Avenue, now that the work has been finished.
It was originally anticipated that the work would be completed by 4:00 Tuesday afternoon. However, KDOT, in a news release, says it was completed an hour ahead of schedule.
