(KNZA)--Due to the dry conditions, a countywide burn ban has been issued for Doniphan County.
That word Monday from County Emergency Management Coordinator Julie Meng.
Meng says the burn ban will remain in effect until further notice.
Meanwhile, the National Weather Service Office in Topeka issued a Red Flag Warning Monday for northeast Kansas, strongly discouraging people to burn.
The Weather Service says the unseasonably warm temperatures, low humidity and brisk winds make the fire danger high.
