(KNZA)--Brown County has taken steps to avoid fire danger due to the current conditions.
Sheriff John Merchant says burn permits will not be issued until the area receives enough rain to deter the burning dangers.
He says the current climate is simply too dangerous to allow such burning.
The dry conditions, coupled with the recent strong winds, have helped create a climate where fires could easily go out of control.
