Sex Trafficking Ring Included KS, NE and MO
10/23/2015

(MSC News)--A sex trafficking ring, that included clients in Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, as well as Iowa, Arkansas, Tennessee and Texas, has been brought down, and seven arrests made in connection with the operation.

That's the allegation made by federal authorities, with a Topeka man, and former owner of a Lawrence night club, alleged to have been a ringleader of the illegal business.

The office of U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom says 41-year-old Frank Boswell, owner of the now closed Club Magic, and six associates, all from Topeka, have all been charged in an indictment unsealed Friday.

It alleges the defendants provided female commercial sex workers, including a 17-year-old girl, to clients in the seven states.

The indictment alleges they recruited females from various places, including homeless shelters. It's stated that those targeted were in need of money and a place to live.

It's alleged that Boswell promoted his sex workers on the internet, keeping in contact with them on mobile phones and sometimes having them wire their earnings to him.

Boswell, and his co-defendants, all face years behind bars, for the alleged crimes.
