(KNZA)--Delaware River WRAPS has a new coordinator.
Selected for the role is Kerry Wedel, a Topeka resident who has experience working with the Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategy program, having served as leader of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment's Watershed Management Section. Wedel has also served as a watershed coordinator with the Kickapoo Tribe.
Outgoing coordinator Melissa Arthur says WRAPS will be in “very capable and caring hands” under Wedel's leadership.
Arthur will continue serving as Interim Coordinator until Wedel begins the role on November 5th.
The Delaware River WRAPS program helps landowners meet their conservation goals while reducing sediment, nutrient and bacteria pollution of streams and lakes in the watershed.
