(KAIR)--A Troy man, facing drug related charges, has agreed to a plea deal in the case.

23-year-old Michael Chatman made an appearance in Atchison County District Court Friday morning, where he waived his right to a preliminary hearing, and pleaded guilty to one count of felony possession of methamphetamine and one count of misdemeanor possession of marijuana. In exchange for the plea, a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was dropped.

Sentencing has been scheduled for December 11th.

Chatman was arrested on October 5th on a failure to appear warrant. During the arrest, police found what appeared to be methamphetamine and marijuana in his possession.
