A new date has been set for a hearing on the proposal to close the St. Benedict Elementary School.
Nemaha Central USD 115 Superintendent Darrel Kohlman says the hearing, which had been set for February 23rd, has been rescheduled to February 29th at 7 p.m. at the B & B High School main gymnasium in Baileyville.
Kohlman said the hearing was rescheduled because of an error made in the publication of the notice of the hearing..( play audio )
Kohlman said at the hearing the public will have an opportunity to present their input to the board, both oral and written, on the proposed closure..( continue audio )
That board meeting will take place March 12th. If approved by the board, the school would close at the end of the current school year.
