The Nemaha Central USD 115 Board of Education during their regular meeting Monday evening will consider approval of a resolution to close St. Benedict Elementary School at the end of the current school year.
The board held a public hearing last month on the proposal.
If approved, students would attend the Nemaha Valley Elementary School in Seneca.
In other business, the board is to further discuss and take action on a transportation proposal for next school year.
The district currently has contracts with three contractors who served the prior USD 442 and USD 451 districts.
The board last month reviewed bus transportation proposals.
Superintendent Darrel Kohlman also presented the board with information on the cost for the district to operate the bus transportation in house.
The meeting will begin at 7 o’clock Monday evening in the Nemaha Valley Elementary School cafeteria.
