Richardson County Commissioners accepted bids for steel and culvert materials when they met Tuesday. Bids from various companies were accepted for the purpose of further review and no bids were awarded during the meeting.
In other action Commissioners voted to accept the bid for insurance coverage from Miller-Monroe Insurance Company of Falls City at a bid price of $178,404 with additional coverage elected making to total cost $180,549. The Board also adopted a resolution giving notice to withdraw from the Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association effective July 1st.
Bids for mowing the Courthouse lawn and Armory Grounds for 2012 will be received and opened on Tuesday, April 3rd at 11 a-m.
A number of road and bridge projects were also reviewed during the meeting an Commissioners voted to enter into a construction contract with M.E. Collins Contracting for the 704 Road Bridge replacement project.
