We’re proud to honor Steve Kottich as this year’s Cobblestone Parade Grand Marshal!

 

A former 2 ½ term Mayor of Falls City and owner of Miller Monroe Company, Steve’s vision and foresight transformed Falls City’s economic development efforts, paving the way for major business recruitment successes like WASP/FAST, Herzog, Ames True Temper, and Vantec.

 

During his 10 years as mayor, Steve spearheaded the purchase of KCP&L’s gas franchise, creating our municipally owned gas company—providing the capital to launch a thriving economic development program. He also served as the first President of EDGE, guiding the transition from public to private economic development and setting the stage for long-term success.

 

Beyond his leadership roles, Steve has given countless volunteer hours to our community—from serving on the Richardson Foundation to announcing Sacred Heart football and basketball games. Always ready to lend a hand, his impact can be felt in every corner of Falls City.
