Allegiance Offers Discounted Internet for Low Income Students

(KAIR) -- An area cable and internet provider has partnered with USD 409 in an effort to offer discounted internet services for low income students to do homework on their iPads.

The new technology has been implemented in a majority of the classes, replacing textbooks and Superintendent Susan Myers says they wanted to give every student a fair opportunity to learn.

Those qualifying families will be able to get internet services from Allegiance Communications for eight dollars and 95 cents a month.
