(KAIR) -- Atchison County Commissioners are asking all department heads and elected officials to adopt an inventory replacement schedule in an effort to promote efficiency in multiple ways.

That’s County Commissioner Jeff Schuele.
Commissioners would like to have heads and officials to have plans in place for inventory replacement by the time budget season hits in late April or early May.
He says an example of setting a replacement schedule is Sheriff Jack Laurie’s request to begin cycling out his fleet of vehicles.
Commissioners on Wednesday approved the purchase of two new Chevrolet Tahoe’s on a general services administration contract from Lewis Chevrolet for 61 thousand 571 dollars, as well as the detailing and lights for two vehicles for a total of nearly 14 thousand dollars.
