(KAIR) -- Several speakers will give presentations this week on campus to students of Benedictine College in Atchison, as well as the general public.
Tonight’s speaker is the annual Cray Lecture and will feature Rodney F. Ganey, Ph.D., founder of Press Ganey Associates. His presentation, beginning at seven at the McAllester Board Room, “Starting and Building a Successful Business: A Case Study,” will focus on the startup and growth of his company, along with exit strategies.
It continues Wednesday afternoon at four at Westerman Auditorium with the next installment of the Faculty Colloquium Series. Retired Sheriff Currie Myers, Adjunct Professor of Criminology, will give a presentation on “The Methamphetamine Epidemic.”
A business lecture will take place Thursday evening at seven with Craig Husting, Chief Investment Officer for the Public School and the Public Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri. As CIO, he directs the management of the systems’ $33 billion investment portfolio. He will discuss his experiences in guiding the funds through the financial crisis of 2008.
Thursday evening at 7:30 at the McAllester Board Room, Father Andrew Hofer, O.P., a Dominican priest teaching patristic theology on the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC, will give a presentation on "Faith of our Fathers: St. Gregory of Nazianzus and his Belief in Jesus Christ."
It will connect the Year of Faith with the faith of one Father of the Church, the one tradition calls "the Theologian," 4th-century Archbishop of Constantinople Gregory of Nazianzus. Fr. Hofer graduated from BC in 1994 and wrote the words for the college’s Alma Mater.
