(KAIR) -- Atchison Planning Commissioners unanimously pass a site plan for Benedictine College to re-locate their baseball and softball complexes.
The Wednesday passage comes with several conditions that Planning Commissioners added that must be met based off of concern from their body and the citizens group that has lobbied against the proposal.
Community Development Director Stefanie Leif compiled the list from the 35 minute discussion and read it back to Commissioners before they acted on them.

A large concern of the citizens group that has protested the project has been the increase in foot traffic in and around the stadium.
This prompted Athletic Director Charlie Gartenmayer to make sure people watching the game are inside the complex.

The plan is still contingent on passage of the measure tabled Monday by City Commissioners to re-zone the property for the complexes from Agricultural to Planned Development.
