(KTNC) - A body found in the Missouri River in Nemaha County Nebraska last month has been identified as a missing Omaha man.
The Nemaha County Sheriff’s office says the man was identified as 43-year-old Mark Miller.
Miller was presumed missing on October 2nd after a boat he had borrowed was found unoccupied, floating down the Missouri River. He had been camping near the river in Fremont County, Iowa, when he went missing.
Fishermen found Miller’s body in the river, two miles upstream from the Peru Boat Dock, on October 27.
Authorities from the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol, Otoe County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, and Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, worked together to confirm Miller’s identity.
Foul play is not suspected in Miller’s death.
