(KLZA)-- The Pawnee County Board of Commissioners discussed office security for the Courthouse when they met Tuesday.
County officials met with the Board to discuss panic buttons for each office. County Clerk Candi Nicholas will be contacting companies about the panic buttons.
In other business, C. J. Johnson, Regional Administrator for Region V Systems met with the Board. Region V supports individuals with behavioral health issues in Southeast Nebraska. Johnson presented the annual report and noted the annual funding request will likely be 2.5 percent higher this coming year to $4,278 for mental health and $770 for substance abuse.
Dave Merrill, Executive Director with Region V Services, which supports people with developmental disabilities in Southeast Nebraska presented their annual report and submitted a funding request at the same amount for next year at $4,936.
