(KLZA)-- This is the week of the 2015 Richardson County 4-H / FFA Junior Fair which is held in Humboldt. Activities begin Monday and continue through Saturday, July 25. The Awards Program will wrap up the fair on Sunday at 2 p-m.
All 4-H and FFA families and any other volunteers that wish to assist with the set-up of the Fairgrounds, the Ag Building, Powell Livestock Arena and Horse arena, show up at 6:30 p-m Monday evening.
Static exhibits will be available for public viewing in the Ag Building beginning Wednesday and concluding Saturday. Normal viewing hours will be 8 a-m until 9 p-m. On Saturday the hours will be 7 a-m until 7:30 p-m.
The silent support auction begins on Wednesday and closes at 7:30 p-m on Saturday. This auction provides 4-H’ers who exhibit 12 or more static exhibits in the Ag Building the chance to place one of their static items on support auction.
The Livestock support auction will be at 7:30 p-m Saturday evening in the Powell Livestock Arena.
In addition 4-H Council elections will be taking place for the open positions on the Richardson County 4-H Council. Voting takes place in the office at the Fairgrounds July 20-25. Current Richardson County 4-H members, leaders and parents or guardians are eligible to vote.
The Richardson County Extension Office is closed during the Junior Fair. If you need to reach the Extension personnel, call the Ag Building in Humboldt at 402-862-2276.
