The Sabetha Bluejays girls tennis team continues its success of the court with a dominating performance at their home invitational going 13-1 in all the competitions and winning overall first place as a team and individually in all four singles and doubles competitions, as they competed against Immaculata, Topeka-Hayden and Hiawatha.
Individually for the Bluejays they were perfect on the day not losing a match as Jennifer Stallbaumer went 3-0, Kyla Parton 2-0 and Jenna Burger 1-0. In the doubles competitions the Bluejays did suffer their only loss of the day but it was in a tiebreaker matchup with Topeka Hayden.
Alison and Andrea Rogenkamp went 2-0 in doubles competition, Caitlyn Renyer and Taylor Baumgartner 1-0, Jenna Burger and Renyer 1-0 and Laeny Edelman and Jessica Romines went 1-1.
Other highlights from the meet from Kanzaland area schools included a pair of second place finishes in the two singles competitions for Immaculata as Olivia Wilson and Sydney Simek both went 2-1 in their respective singles competitions. For the Hiawatha Redhawks they struggled at the meet but their doubles teams of Jamie Clary and Emma Kleopfer and Cassie Rosenberger and Cori Herrera each won a match in their respective doubles competitions of the three they competed in.
