(KAIR) -- Discussions continue on what type and who will conduct maintenance of a bridge along K-74 highway in southern Atchison County.
Leroy Koehn of KDOT met with County Commissioners Wednesday about potential cost share options of a bridge two miles east of Potter that’s set to be replaced.
Currently it’s scheduled for replacement by KDOT in 2015, however, they are also offering to turn maintenance of that portion of K-74 highway over the county.
Commission Chairman Jeff Schuele explains what he feels is the best of three options.

Schuele said then there are other options that are on the table for a lesser cost, but they wouldn’t last as long.

Koehn will now return to his superiors at KDOT with more questions from the Commissioners on potential timelines for these options and make one more appearance in front of the Commission.
