(KLZA) -- Pawnee County Commissioners Tuesday accepted the resignation of Calvin Flanagin as Veteran's Service Officer.
However, they tabled the appointment of a replacement until August 27th.
Highway Superintendent Chris Rauner presented specifications for a new semi truck and new pickup to the Board. Commissioners then went into executive session with Rauner to discuss a letter received from a concerned taxpayer. The closed session lasted 26 minutes.
The General Assistance handbook update was reviewed and referred to the County Attorney for her review. Board members also decided to wait to discuss salaries until the Nebraska Association of County Officials sends out recommendations in October.
Permission was granted for use of the Pawnee County Courthouse lawn September 2nd for the “Last Fling Until Spring” event.
