(KTNC) -- Holt County Commissioners have approved a recommendation to distribute funds to nutrition centers in the county.
Commissioners accepted a request to distribute funds from the Holt County Senior Citizens’ Services Fund for the 2014 fiscal year. The Mound City Nutrition Center will receive $41,548 and the Maitland Nutrition Center will receive $13,849.
Holt County Commissioners have approved the bi-annual bridge inspection program. New guidelines require fracture critical bridges to have a more in-depth inspection. Thirty bridges in Holt County fall into that category, and another 57 bridges will be inspected for structural compliance, weight load, safety, and general condition.
Some of the bridges will be photographed from underneath to establish a baseline for future inspections. The Missouri Department of Transportation will schedule the bridge inspections over the next two months.
Commissioners voted to renew its annual contract with attorney Ivan Schrader, who has provided legal services to the county for several years.
They also appointed Travis Panning to fill a two-year term on the Fortescue Special Road District Board, and Steve Milne to fill a vacancy on the Holt County Levee District #7 Board.
